I’m linking this post up with the Kid Lit Blog Hop!
I mentioned in my post last week that penguin publishing has a website that gives away one child’s book to a child without one each time someone reads through a story on the site. If your child is like mine, he or she loves to press the buttons on your keyboard anyway. If you read a book with that child at We Give Books, he or she can click the mouse for each page turn. Max loves this.
I’d like to challenge all my visitors today to take the time you would have spent reading the rest of my blog (since this is so short!) and visit We Give Books. Read a story at the site and gain a new way to combine reading and giving for your children.
Let me know which story you choose!
What a fantabulous idea! Thank you for raising awareness of this intriguing and interactive innovation 🙂
Absotively posolutely!
This is indeed a great website!
Omigosh – what a fantastic website!! Thanks for sharing this in the Kid Lit Blog Hop. I just tweeted about it so others can join in. Yay! 🙂
Oops, I forgot to say that we read Freak Out! Animals Beyond Your Wildest Imagination because we’re funny that way! lol
Hehe I would expect no less! Thanks for tweeting 🙂
I’ve been meaning to try this site out – thanks for the reminder!
You’re welcome! We love it 🙂
Hopping on over here (finally!) My modem got zapped during Hurricane Sandy so I’ve been copping a squat to put it delicately … lol on someone’s rather weak wi-fi signal which only works in one hot spot in my apartment, which is ironically in my favorite armchair right in front of the television. Today, I’m over at my bff’s house using her computer and sailing along much faster, so I thought I would pop on over to say hi. Awesome site you’ve recommended and right in time for the holidays too!
Blessings,
Dee
P.S. I’m following your blog and via Twitter.
Oh no! I’m so glad things are going better. I don’t even have a good excuse for taking so long to get through all the links – other than that there are so many this time! I love having that problem, though. Thanks for the kind words and the follows!
I tried to read the Llama and Red Pajamas one, but couldn’t get it to open so I could read it. I’ll try again later. Thanks for participating in the Kid Lit Blog Hop!
This is such a great idea. I hope it is a smashing success! I’m a little late (life got in my way this weekend), but hopping around from the Lit Hop! I’m going to go check out the site you recommended now.
They had over 2 million reads on the featured Lady Bug book. THAT is awesome!
So glad you could check it out! Yes, that is a really amazing feat. I’m proud to be a part of it, just by reading stories to my son, which I would do anyway!
What a great idea! I absolutely love this and will share it with my friends!
